The Lotus 91 is a British Formula 1 car that made its track debut at the 1982 Brazilian Grand Prix and competed in F1 races until the 1983 season. Its designers were Colin Chapman, Martin Ogilvie and Tony Rudd. The Lotus 91 was powered by a single Ford Cosworth DFV 8-cylinder engine with a displacement of 3 liters.

The Lotus 91 was developed to complement and later replace another Lotus car: the 87B. Like its predecessor, it used a monocoque and the same engine, but differed from it on many other levels. First of all, it used revolutionary for those times, active hydraulic suspension, which was electronically controlled. In addition, even more use was made of carbon fiber elements in its construction. Finally, a successful car was created, with good traction properties, but inferior to the performance of the competition. The most famous drivers behind this car were, among others: Ellio de Angelis and Nigel Mansell. In total, Lotus 91 took part in 15 F1 races, of which only one won.
