The Porsche Cayman is a German sports passenger car that was first presented to the public in 2005 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Its serial production started a year later and is still going on. It was concentrated in the cities of Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen and Osnabruck in Germany, as well as in Uusikaupunki in Finland.

The Cayman model was designed and put into production as a supplement to the Boxster model and is in fact a modification to it. Both cars use a lot of the same components, and the main difference is that the Cayman is offered in a coupe body model, and the Boxster - as a roadster. The differences also lie in the power units, because the Porsche Cayman is most often powered by engines with more power and displacement, which is very clearly visible in the GTS, GT4, S and R versions. Three generations of the Porsche Cayman were created in the course of production, the last of which was presented in 2016.
