The BMPT Ramka (another designation: Object 199) was a prototype modern Russian tank support combat vehicle. The first prototypes of this car were presented around 2000. The length of the wagon is approx. 7.2 m, with a width of approx. 3.5 m. The drive is provided by a single 1000 HP W92S2 engine. It is armed with 1 or 2 30mm 2A42 autocannons and four 9M133 Kornet ATGM launchers. The BMPT Ramka was developed for the needs of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, and the Uralvagonzavod plant was responsible for its design. The vehicle was developed on the basis of the experience gained by the Russian army during the war in Afghanistan (1979-1989) and the fighting in Chechnya - especially the First Chechen War (1994-1996). The new vehicle was primarily to combat enemy infantry and eliminate (albeit to a lesser extent) permanent resistance points. It was also assumed that the car would be used in battles in the city. The chassis of the T-72 tank was used to shorten the time of analytical and implementation works, as well as to facilitate subsequent operation. Finally, a quite successful vehicle was created, which, however, did not enter mass production, but served de facto as the basis for the development of the BMPT Terminator, which in relation to the BMPT Ramka has much more powerful weapons
