The AT-P was a Soviet, tracked artillery tractor from the Cold War period. The first prototype versions of this vehicle were created in the early 1950s, and mass production began in the same decade. The vehicle was powered by a single 110 HP ZiŁ-123F engine. The car was armed with a single machine gun placed in the front of the hull. The length of the tractor was 4.49 meters with a width of 2.58 meters.

The AT-P was developed and put into production as the basic tractor for the 85 mm D-48 and 100 mm T-12 guns. He provided his 2-man crew and the transported cannon staff with protection against small-caliber firearms and artillery fragments. The vehicle, despite its compact design and small size, which facilitated its camouflage on the battlefield, had moderately good off-road characteristics, and the use of a relatively weak power unit made it difficult to tow heavier cannons and howitzers, e.g. 122 mm caliber. For these reasons, the AT-P tractor was replaced, among others, by the MT-LB truck driven by an engine with more than twice as much power and built on a completely different chassis. It is worth adding that the AT-P tractor was also exported to Third World countries, where it often acted as an armored infantry transporter.
