Shenzhou is the term for the contemporary Chinese series of manned spacecraft, the first of which was launched into space in 1999. It is worth adding that each subsequent flight of ships of this type is marked by adding the appropriate number - from Shenzhou 1 to Shenzhou 11. The total weight of a single vehicle of this series is 7800 kilograms, length is 8.65 m, and its diameter is 2.8 meters. The usable capacity of the vessel is estimated at 14-15 m3. The Shenzhou ship series is structurally based on the Russian / Soviet Alliance-TM series ships. Like them, Shenzhou ships consist of three modules: command, orbital, and propulsion. The ships are launched into orbit with the Chang Zheng 2F launcher. It is worth noting that the Shenzhou 5 ship in 2003 saw its first Chinese manned flight in space with Yang Liwei on board. Currently, Shenzhou spacecraft are primarily used as transport units to supply the Chinese Tiangong space station.
