Leonardo Da Vinci (born in 1452, died in 1519) was undoubtedly one of the most brilliant people of the Renaissance and is widely regarded as one of the most talented people in history. He was not only an exceptionally talented painter, author of such masterpieces as "The Lady with an Ermine" or "The Last Supper", but also an extremely prolific inventor and innovator. One of Leonardo's most avant-garde projects was that of a self-propelled stroller, sometimes considered a very distant progenitor of today's cars. The project assumed the use of two symmetrical springs in this vehicle, one of which would set the device in motion, and the other would be a kind of "lifebuoy" in the event of damage to the first one. At the same time, Leonardo da Vinci assumed the use of a balance wheel, known at that time from watch mechanisms, in order to give the entire machinery the desired balance and stability of work. Some researchers look for a mechanism similar to the d differential (differential) in this vehicle.
