The A-222 Bereg is a modern Russian self-propelled coastal defense artillery system. The first prototypes of this vehicle were created in the 1980s, and the car was first presented in 1993. The vehicle is powered by an engine D12A-525 525 hp . It is armed with a 130mm AK-130 naval cannon and, optionally, a single 7.62mm PKT machine gun.

The A-222 Bereg was developed on the basis of the MAZ-543M 8x8 truck chassis, thanks to which the system has excellent off-road characteristics and high mobility. Bereg was created with the intention of fighting small enemy vessels or landing vehicles. It is also capable of engaging ground targets. The system has a high rate of fire, up to 10 shots per minute. The system includes a vehicle with an AK-130 cannon, a command vehicle designated A-222 CPU and a logistic and technical support vehicle (A-222 MOBD). At present, the armed forces of the Russian Federation are the only users of the A-222 system.
