It is the same system that is used on the Ticonderoga-class cruiser. The leading ship of this class is the USS Arleigh Burke (DDG-51). The vessel was built at Bath Iron Works in Bath, Maine. As early as 1993, she was directed to the Adriatic Sea, where she took part in the Provide Promise operation. Two years later, the ship returned to this reservoir. in 1998, USS Arleigh Burke took part in numerous exercises and tests that were conducted in the Mediterranean, Black and Red Seas.
